I used Blue Sky Property Inspections for the inspection of mine and my husband's first house together. The house was built in 1958 and had undergone some renovations, so I wanted to be confident that the older and newer parts of the house were solid. The house had been on the market 6 months before we purchased it and it was under a lease to purchase agreement. An inspection was done during that previous transaction, but the inspectors failed to find a rotting support beam in the basement crawl space which Blue Sky Property Inspections found immediately. Several pictures of the beam were taken by Blue Sky and in the end the owner agreed to pay over $1,600 in repair work. At the end of our inspection we received a very thorough and detailed report. There were many smaller things that needed repair or replacement, all of which were noted in our inspection document so we could appropriately budget for the purchase of this home.
